[edit] Manhattan China Town Secret Public Cheap Parking Lot
I know parking in Manhattan China Town is scarce, it takes me anywhere from 30 minute to 2 hours to find a parking spot. However I just found a secret untouched cheap public parking lot that's very near China town but it's actually located in City Hall so no one knows about this parking garage. It's within walking distance to China town's restaurants, so I normally park there on the weekends and go to Dim Sum on Mott street.

For Live Earth event @ Giant Stadium they were charging $20 for parking at a parking lot thats was 30min ride away with their shuttle bus. My friends got there at 1pm waited in line for parking and bus, got to the concert at 2:30pm. Luckily i was riding a motorcycle and I parked at a Subway restaurant near by and walked only 8mins, no waiting huge lines for the bus or parking and when the concert was over, I was so glad I didn't park there! Took my friends 2 hours to get their car and get out of the parking lot.

[edit] Madison Square Garden Alternative Events Parking
DON'T Pay and Park @ Garages for Madison Square Garden Events. What I normally do for Madison Square Garden Events is I come to NYC a little earlier to avoid last min traffic. I park on the street anywhere south of 30th Street for free. The secret is virtually all the streets below 30th street between 9th ave & Broadway are free street parkings Mon to Fri after 7pm and Sat and Sun the whole day. 29th street has the most parking btw 6th ave and 7th ave only 2 blocks to Madison Square Garden. 29th Street is West Bound one way traffic, I have to give credit to my wholesaler who told me this secret, USA Tiger Group INC. I purchase wholesale Sunglasses and Tiger Brand lighters from them. They save me a bunch of money from parking in garages.
